Optimizing and automating an intricate manual process
Envalior asked us to optimize their labor-intensive order allocation process. As a global provider of engineering material solutions, they deal with a lot of logistics. To achieve significant operational gains and improve their customer experience, Envalior wanted to transform this complex sequence of manual tasks into an automated procedure that will scale with their ambitions.
Turning manual administration into a smooth, automated flow
Using UiPath Robotic Process Automation (RPA) in combination with process mining and a complex mathematical algorithm, one of our automation experts created an automated flow tailored to Envalior’s requirements in just a few months.
Every day, the robot compares their stock to incoming orders for the next fourteen days. It then assesses and verifies these orders based on a set of complex business rules, including production capacity, optimal shipment configurations, transport restrictions for trucks, and others.
If any irregularities or exceptions occur, the robot sends an email with details to Envalior’s department managers. This way, they can manually modify orders or flag them for the next day’s processing. Thanks to our intelligent solution, their responsibility has moved from repetitive administration to assessments that highlight their expertise.
Impressed with the robot’s performance, which was designed to be used in the Benelux region, Envalior has asked us to continue development so it can be used globally. Our automation expert will make sure that their innovative solution grows along with them.
